Welcome back to my Horizon Goodwill Industries Business Services Blog! I hope that all of you had a great Memorial Day weekend. In this weeks’ entry, I will be sharing with you what most will find to be an unlikely partner. The Internal Revenue Service!
If you live near Martinsburg, WV or have traveled through Kearneysville, WV, you may be aware of this large, local branch of the Internal Revenue Service. It employs over 800 people and is a highly secure facility.
As you are no doubt aware, the IRS receives a very high volume of mail. So much so that this facility requires a fully staffed mailroom. That is where Horizon Goodwill Industries comes in! We are partnered with this branch to staff and manage their Mailroom processing. From the time the truckloads of mail come to this IRS branch, our staff is responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and accurate delivery, as well as tracking of, all mail delivery. They also provide outgoing mail coordination as well. In addition to the USPS material they process, our staff handles all incoming and outgoing 3rd party packages for this facility.
Horizon Goodwill Industries truly enjoys the relationship that we have developed with the IRS.
