Unemployment is a very real problem nationwide, usually conveyed by cold numbers and faceless statistics on the evening news. Locally, however, chances are that you know someone who is looking for employment, perhaps struggling daily to make ends meet. There’s never been an easier time to help members of your community gain valuable job training by taking part in the Horizon Goodwill semi-annual partnership with The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc.
From September 17th through October 4th, 2014 The Bon-Ton will provide shoppers with discount coupons for up to 25% off new purchases with the donation of any clothing or household textiles—a fun, productive way to save on the latest fall styles!

All donations collected will go directly towards furthering Horizon Goodwill’s mission of helping people find jobs right here in your community. Revenue generated from the sale of these donated items help to fund Goodwill’s job training and community programs.
In lieu of donations, shoppers can instead choose to donate $5.00 at the register in order to receive these valuable coupons. All cash collected from coupon sales will go directly to Goodwill Industries®.

Nationwide, the most recent donations exceeded 2.5 million pounds of clothing and textiles totaling an estimated $10 million in revenue resulting in approximately 344,000 hours of job training services.
Throughout the years, the Goodwill Sale has become a tradition for many West Virginia and Maryland shoppers. This is the perfect opportunity to donate last year’s fashions, give away those summer styles you won’t wear next year, free up some necessary closet space and purchase some new merchandise, all while helping those in need receive valuable job training.
