On March 15th we challenged you to round-up when you shop at Goodwill to support the GetALift! Program launch, and YOU have exceeded our wildest dreams. In just two weeks YOU have raised over $5000 by rounding up that is 5000 rides for low income job seekers. Do you think we can reach $10,000 by April 30th?

Horizon Goodwill’s “GetALift!” Program!

 

 

One of Horizon Goodwill Industries’ goals has been to help individuals who need a job obtain the training and experience necessary to get and keep a job. How can they go beyond that? Now they will be giving two weeks of free transportation to individuals who have gibe through their Get OnBoard! Job Readiness program.

To directly help this program, make sure you round up your purchase at any Horizon Goodwill store and you will help someone “GetALift!”. From March 1^st through April 15^th, 2018, These “round up” proceeds will go straight on supporting this new program!

Remember, any time you shop at Horizon Goodwill, you help open up opportunities for others looking to find a job and build skills, including veterans and military families, single mothers, seniors, youth, and many others.

Chief Mission Officer, Catharine Fleming said, “The first couple of weeks in a new job are so important for individuals that are just starting out in the workforce. If we can assist them with something as critical as transportation, we can increase their chances of staying employed.”

Our Martinsburg location is in search of  a project supervisor for their custodial crew!

Will trade competitive wages and benefits package for your one year of experience and a valid driver’s license.

Duties inlcude :

• Perform administrative duties related to hiring, evaluations, corrective counseling, and terminations in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Provide training and leadership to assigned crew members in the performance of cleaning tasks, including but not limited to: dusting, sweeping/vacuuming, trash removal, wet and dry mopping, restroom cleaning, disinfection, and glass cleaning.
• Perform daily quality assurance inspections of assigned work areas to ensure that cleaning is being completed in accordance with contract specifications and HGI’s standards of cleaning.
• Perform site visits with internal and external customers to discuss crew performance and schedules, and to resolve problems as they occur; communicate to manager any concerns that cannot immediately be resolved.
• Schedule service maintenance on vans as needed.
• Manage equipment and supply levels and forward supply and equipment orders to immediate supervisor for assigned sites.
• Verify and coordinate schedules and report time worked for custodians, enter and approve time for payroll processing.
• Perform cleaning tasks as required.
• Assist with periodical work such as, but not limited to: stripping and waxing of floors, carpet cleaning, and window washing.
• Transport employees to assigned locations using company vehicles.
