Thank you to everyone who participated in our “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour Concert Ticket Sweepstakes”. The entering donors provided Horizon Goodwill Industries (HGI) with the raw materials to generate at least 690 hours of paid on-the-job training and other programs for individuals with barriers to employment. At HGI, 90% of all revenue generated goes directly into programs and services to help people with barriers to employment find and keep good jobs.
In April of this year, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter announced that she was lending her voice to help raise awareness about Goodwill’s mission of transforming lives through the power of work. Horizon Goodwill Industries’ Mrs. Carter Show World Tour Concert Ticket Sweepstakes drew hundreds of donors to our donation centers.
“Goodwill helps people get back to work by providing education, job training and placement. I wanted to team up with an organization that puts people first and works every day to help them improve and re-establish their lives,” said Beyoncé.
Our concert ticket winners will enjoy Beyoncé at the Verizon Center on Monday July 29th. Our Grand Prize winner of floor tickets for two and limousine service for the event is Mrs. Paula Eschenfelder. She donated at our Romney, WV Goodwill Retail Store. Our First Prize winner of two Upper Concourse tickets is Tony Fletcher who donated at our Greencastle, PA Goodwill Retail Store.
