We just finished another successful More Than Just A Store tour for Washington County’s GenNext!
What is this tour? Well let’s face it…when someone says the name “Goodwill”, you think about donating your old clothes or maybe getting a real bargain at one of our thrift shops. Our one-hour tour of the Horizon Goodwill Mission will open your eyes to show what we really do and how we help our community. We call this the More Than Just A Store tour because what most people think of Horizon Goodwill doesn’t encompass nearly all that we do. Horizon Goodwill Industries Joins Forces with Parole and Probation Hagerstown
We have started a partnership with Parole and Probation in Hagerstown to help parolees and probationers get jobs. How are we doing it?
We are giving selected parolees and probationers vouchers for free work attire redeemable at any of the Goodwill stores in Western Maryland. The best part is the vouchers have no expiration a date and can be used at all 17 of the area’s stores!
