Would You Like to Round-Up?
So what is the Round Up program, and where does that money go?
When you round up the cost of your purchase, those extra pennies help Horizon Goodwill provide free job training and career coaching to people with disabilities and disadvantages, as well as our own retail associates.
A Goodwill retail store associate will ask if you would like to round up your purchase to the next whole dollar. Say Yes or No, and the sales associate will proceed accordingly. If you say Yes, know that your donation will directly provide job training programs to Create Opportunities and Remove Barriers to employment. We offer various opportunities to help people develop skills for resume development, job search, and interviewing. By saying “yes” to our round-up campaign, you are providing someone with a hand-up rather than a hand-out.
Help change a life by saying “yes” at the register.
Round Up to Make A Change!
Our retail store sales provide funding to support individuals, young adults, and families experiencing homelessness in your community. Our store staff asks if you would like to Round Up as a way to boost the revenue that we use for our programs. Many people don’t realize that Horizon Goodwill Industries (HGI) is much more than just a bunch of stores that sell used items that are given to them.
We use the revenue that we earn from selling those items to employ our store personnel and operate the stores, but behind the scenes, we provide several services to the community.
As an example, HGI provides:
- Homeless Drop-In
- Outreach
- Case Management
- Housing
- Temporary Shelter
- Rapid Re-Housing
- Housing Navigation
- Wrap-Around Services
