Waynesboro is in Franklin County, part of the Cumberland Valley, and is midway between Chambersburg and Hagerstown, Maryland. A mill town, it was named after General Anthony Wayne, a hero of the Revolutionary War. It is also the home of the Renfrew Museum and Park, a historical museum depicting 18th-century farm life.
