Dear Horizon Goodwill Industries Customers:
In July, Goodwill Industries International (GII) announced that a data security issue involving the possible compromise of credit card data may have affected some Goodwill® member store locations. An investigation ensued, and the third-party investigator and federal law enforcement authorities found that Horizon Goodwill Industries stores were not impacted. This issue does not affect our customers.
The impacted Goodwill members were all using the same vendor for payment processing. This vendor’s systems were found to contain malware. Immediate action was taken by the affected Goodwill members to ensure the malware was no longer a threat to individuals shopping at their Goodwill stores. Horizon Goodwill has determined that we do not use any of these services and/or products; thus our customers are not affected.
