Fundraising shouldn’t be complicated. Horizon Goodwill’s Donation Drive is a simple, powerful way to support your programs and make a lasting impact. Together, we turn donations into opportunities and create real change for our local communities.
Don’t let limited resources hold your organization back. Host a donation drive to raise funds, strengthen your programs and expand your impact in the community.
There is no minimum requirement to host a drive.
Containers that aren’t completely full still earn credit. Ask Carrie about current rates.

Begin pre-collection early. Schedule a pre-event launch with your Goodwill rep. Share event details on your website, marquee and newsletters.
Keep promoting with flyers, emails, newsletters, Facebook and word of mouth. Schedule volunteers for the whole event. Drives happen rain or shine.
And have fun, of course! Together, we really can change our community.
Keep an adult representative on-site at all times.
Rotate volunteers for loading and unloading.
Have volunteers available for pick-ups.
Provide water for volunteers.
Chairs and shade or shelter if possible.
Keep a first aid kit handy and encourage safety gloves when handling donations.
Wave banners at passing traffic.
Bring bags or boxes for loose items.
Donations must be clean, good-quality and sellable. Because of space limitations, only items that fit into the containers are accepted, and only sellable items count toward your fundraiser credit. Goodwill accepts furniture at stores and donation centers, but furniture cannot be accepted at donation drives.
