Healthier Futures Is Now Public!
On September 24, Horizon Goodwill Industries publicly launched the Healthier Futures Campaign, and we’re inviting our whole community to join a vision that is already improving lives throughout Washington County. This campaign supports the continued development of the Sylvia Frank Community Health Hub, a collaborative initiative addressing food insecurity, healthcare access, workforce readiness, and youth development.

What Healthier Futures Includes
- Horizon Market: a grocery store that will increase access to affordable, nutritious food in downtown Hagerstown.
- Workforce development: training, career coaching, and employment opportunities that support long-term economic mobility.
- Health and human services: partners providing coordinated care and support.
- Adolescent Clubhouse: a place for youth and young adults to build life skills, develop positive relationships, and pursue successful futures.
We also plan to partner with Vehicles for Change to bring automotive workforce training to our community while addressing the transportation and employment barriers many residents face.
Momentum Already Underway
Healthier Futures isn’t starting from plans on paper. Programs operating through the Hub have already connected residents with healthcare services, workforce development opportunities, housing navigation support, and youth programming.
